In Between The Lines, 2008
College of Architecture, Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas

The substance of my sculpture is the empty space. I built a large scale wooden sculpture where the layering of lines creates a new horizon in the landscape. The sculpture results in a transparent shell, where the empty space between the wooden lines becomes the substance, working as a modulator of light: always changing its visual grasp according to the movement of the sun.
The sculpture was built around my body from the inside using the sculpture as a filter or a tool to perceive and interpret the landscape around me.
