Paolo Piscitelli
seconda intenzione / volume rosa
CD audio, Cane Andaluso, Milano
Limited edition
This work originated as an audio installation for the ‘Scala delle Forbici’, or Scissor Staircase, created by Filippo Juvarra in the Royal Palace in Turin, Italy, in 1722. Sounds from an analogous, but natural, piece of architecture, the Grotto of Bossea, were superimposed on the sculptural mass of the staircase, seemingly carved out of the volume of space containing it in one great sweep.
